I flew into Chicago Jan 20, 1985. Coldest day ever there. 27 Below with

wind chills of 70 Below. Super Bowl Sunday and I had to drive from Chicago to Bloomington, Ill 3 hours away. I was an idiot 25 year old and traveled with no socks on. Light coat. It was so friggin' cold, the one rental car they could get running, did not warm up the entire drive. I swear I was half frost bitten by the time I arrived. I was pulling clothes out of my suitcase as I drove and piled them on top of me as I drove.

Idiotic. Now that was cold.
